Gender, Identity, Sexuality and LGBTQ+
If you are questioning your gender or sexuality identity, or in the process of coming out or transitioning it can be helpful to have a confidential, non-judgemental and safe space to talk through your feelings, concerns or doubts.
While we may be becoming more inclusive as a nation, sadly many still feel marginalised and unsupported. According to Journal of Psychiatry,198, 143-148 evidence suggests that people who identify as LGBTQ+ are at a higher risk of experiencing poor mental health.
A number of our therapists at Oxford House Therapy can support you through your exploration in order to aid a deeper sense of connection to self and help you find ways to manage the external factors that are at play. Thereby creating the foundation for better mental health.
